This year is loaded with important national and international fairs that we cannot miss. The first fair of the year that we are going to attend is Salon du Fromage, which is held from February 25th to the 28th.
This is the 15th Edition of this show of cheese and dairy products, which will take place at Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris, and once again, Quesería La Antigua makes its bags to visit France.
If we talk about the Salon du Fromage in figures, we can say that in its last edition there were 190 exhibitors from 12 different countries, 6720 visitors, among which there was 17% of foreigners. A fair visited by more than 50 countries in just 4 days.
Salon du Fromage defines the trends of today and tomorrow within the world of dairy products. Around 60 new products were presented in the 2016 edition based on 4 trends.
In addition, different contests were held around taste and knowledge of the cheeses, such as the Coups de Coeur Contest, through which to reward the best products presented by the exhibitors.
The Lyre d’Or contest or also called the contest of the most beautiful cheese tray around technique, knowledge and creativity.
The Fontainebleau competition, through which to highlight the know-how and creativity of cream-cheese makers; valuing two different categories, one traditional recipe and the most extravagant recipe.
One of the novelties of this edition is “Paris Cheese Experience” a day to discover new cheeses, get inspire and exchange knowledge with different passionate professionals in order to expand the knowledge of this sector.This program exclusive for professionals of the sector, and it will be held on the 27th from 06:30 AM to 06:00 PM.
