We are going to tell you a little secret: the Tormes river and the Guadalquivir river and are already brothers since the 28th of May. Thanks to Jamones Julián Martín and the Sanlúcar de Barrameda Horse Racing Society, and of course, with our presence this has been able to be done.
Nearly fifty people, including María Luisa and Julián Martín, Goyo, Rafa, Jesús, Fernando, Sara … attended the christening of the Tormes river from the Roman bridge of Salamanca using: water from the Guadalquivir, chamomile Bodegas Barbadillo and sand from the beaches of Sanlúcar, just the part where the races that make them famous, end.
Goyo and María Luisa have addressed some beautiful words prior to this private but very beautiful christening-twinning between Salamanca and Sanlúcar, Castile and Andalusia, Tormes and Guadalquivir.
The thing that began with the official presentation of the horse races of Sanlúcar in Guijuelo has continued this intimate and almost secret act which proves that big things start with the smallest.
We are a big example of this, because La Antigua, we are small, but you made us very big when you twin with our cheeses.
By the way, you can see the video of the moment in the Facebook of La Antigua de Fuentesaúco. How could we miss this little secret, this great event?
